Brief
This project was completed a long time ago during my apprenticeship at a mobile app development company. See below for details.
Problem: You are either making or receiving a call from someone and you want to lie to them about your current location. You want them to hear background noise which would ultimately trick them into thinking you’re somewhere that you’re not.
Why:
- You want to make someone jealous
- You’re running late
- You want to play a joke on someone
- Just a little white lie
Solution: Create an app that has a variety of sound locations in which you can play during a phone call. The app must be easy to use and fast to open. The sound locations must be clear and representative of the location, so that your lie is credible.
Deliverables
There are three main sections of the app:
Sounds
- Library of sound locations to use during calls.
- A variety of location sounds to trick your caller.
- Browse, sample, and quickly select sounds to use.
- Home (Player)
- Play sounds directly from the homescreen.
- Homescreen features last sound played
- Swipe through all of your sounds from Home
Recording (Custom Sounds)
- Record custom sounds to use
- Add custom sounds to your library
- Edit your sounds with custom name & picture
- User may only add up to 3 custom sounds

Results
This app was an internal project that allowed me to experience the latest fundementals and techniques for UX/UI mobile application design. From concept to design and development, I was extremely happy with the outcome.
